Hullo, I thought I ought to write a blog since I made a lot of changes. Yesterday I was trying to install another blog for an upcoming project but i had forgotten exactly what my mysql database password was, I thought there’d be no problem just setting a new one and then installing the new blog. How wrong i was. I completely broke everything. So through a lot of juggling and guessing I managed to get my old blogs back briefly to salvage anything on them, I didn’t care so much about this site because its just me talking shite to all the no people who read it. I was really concerned about http://djinsl.co.cc though because I had actually written some useful stuff there.

Anyway I managed to get it all fixed, I installed a new web tab blog you can see if you check my in-world Second Life profile web tab. It’s good to try and use that space because profiles don’t really have enough space to say anything. Installing new blogs got me to thinking of new themes and so on and if you ever visited here before you’ll see it looks different. You can choose which colours you want to see on the wee box at the top. The biggest change is that i added a flash stream player located between the posts section and the navigation bar of the sites header. You’ll see you can pause and play etc from there if you don’t want to hear the music.

The biggest project I’ve been working on though has been our winter sim in Second Life called “Merry Christmas” and that was the real reason i was messing with my web stuff. I was setting up another section of the site for that so that I can just put all the information there for merchants and shoppers alike. That will also have the stream playing through the site when I move to full on Christmas music mode closer to December.

Hiya, on the off chance anyone in the world reads this site I thought I better explain why the little I have written has vanished. Today my host, hostess Ganesha from Project X Shoutcast moved me to a shiny new server which is going to be better for everyone. There a couple of tiny little teething problems with wordpress though with their export/import feature but hopefully I’ll have my old posts back here as soon as possible.

It’s been a week of new things, on Tuesday I took delivery of a Zalman 22″ 3D monitor which is phenomenal, I’ve been spending hours playing Batman : Arkham Asylum in 3D!! It’s just crazy, I heard there was a patch to make SL stereoscopic but its for a very old (now) viewer but I can only hope that its an added shiny and that they work on putting that into SL before they fix all the missing inventory or floating off sim problems of the last month.

Anyway, hopefully the old posts will be restored, if not I’ll just painstakingly re-write them from memory……
